We are committed to the sustainable use of forests. In our wood procurement, we comply with the criteria of PEFC forest certification. PEFC forest certification promotes sustainable forestry, which means the management and use of forests in a way that supports their biodiversity, productivity, regenerative capacity and vitality. In addition, sustainable forestry aims to promote forest-related ecological, economic and social activities at local, national and global levels, now and in the future. PEFC certification ensures that wood comes from legal sources and that its chain of custody from sustainably managed forests to products is known.

At Scanpole, we make products that are not the same. The scots pines used as raw material for poles are different from each other. In addition, we manufacture poles according to customers' wishes and requirements. Our shortest poles are about 6 meters long and most of them serve as telecom poles. Our largest poles, on the other hand, are giants up to 23 metres long, whose task is to act as pillars for the electricity network. The smallest pillars are about 17 cm in diameter, while the largest ones are over half a meter. The next time you pass a pole, you should look closely. You won't find another similar one.

In Norway, we work closely with local electricity network companies as well as network construction companies. Electrix As, which builds power grids, has been our partner for five years. Customers of the company operating in southern Norway are large network companies such as Elvia and Norgesnett.
Power grids are part of critical infrastructure, so Electrix has to meet customers' strict quality requirements. Therefore, they also expect high quality products and services from partners.
“Our collaboration with Scanpole is very efficient. Scanpole supplies us with poles for construction projects of new high-voltage lines as well as maintenance projects," says Project Manager Alexander Dahl.
“The best thing about the collaboration is service and follow-up. It is also important to us that the delivery times are fast and that there are enough poles we need in stock. In addition, Scanpole is a local player compared to its competitors," Dahl continues.
According to Dahl, Elecrtix's business future also looks bright, as the construction and maintenance of new power lines continues actively. In future projects, Electrix will use Pole+ poles of the new generation that are impregnated with copper oil.
